Websites in Danger

Most of the websites in the Internet today are failing on several aspects. I’m not saying that this site is flawless, of course there are many facets in web development that I need to enhance and also follow but what I’m telling is you can learn to these questions that I’m going to ask you:

  • Does the design represent what you really want to convey to your readers, visitors, prospects, clients or customers? The design should be more on the side that gives light to what you stand for.
  • Do you have a ‘Contact Us” information page? For me, this is one of the very important pages on your site. If your site is business oriented, of course you want your potential clients or customers to contact you via telephone or email for questions, and this is vital if you’re into sales.
  • Have you considered having a “Frequently Asked Questions” page? This is imperative to website owners if their site is more about products or services. Most customers will ask or check for some important questions along the way that could be answered in this page without having to contact or write you an email, and therefore saves you, the developer the time to answer every bit of questions.
  • What about the content? Of course, the content should be well-written, concise, and clear. Many readers will skip and most probably leave the website if they find many flaws on the grammar, spellings and the meaning of words that is not cohesive enough to be understandable.

These are really simple phases in websites development that developers should consider if they want visitors to be regulars and to maintain good traffic.

  • A person cannot discount the magnitude of on page optimisation. A part of this is also optimizing your website to load quickly. The quickness of your internet site is now given more weight by search engines. Get that web page seo’ed for speed!

  • Certainly one of many challenges which individuals beginning a brand new on-line firm face is that of obtaining visitors to their net site.

  • iPad vs. MacBook!I’d love to see you guys do a formal use challenge between an iPad user and a MacBook Air/other Mac Laptop user. Like see if the iPad could match what Georgia was talking about doing on her MacBook at 3:15. Cuz for a lot of what she said, there is an app on the iPad that could do that too.Sorta like a scientific test where you both try to do the same “typical” things a user or even power user would do day to day on their computer.Probably would make sense to do after iOS 4.2 comes out so the iPad gets up there with its features.

  • That is correct. Providing quality content will surely attract visitors and spice it up with a little SEO to promote it
