a bug with a killer punch story
And the story of the bug goes.
There is nothing more to say than it’s more than meets the eye. No I’m not quoting this famous line from the “Transformers”. This is not an article for the blockbuster movie. I like it; actually, I really love this movie and not just the movie but the Transformers itself. It’s really fun reminiscing one’s childhood memories of toys and cartoons; and Transformers are my favorite. I do have a few Transformers toys myself. Now, my significant other is the only one who knows that I’m still craving to get another one. Maybe I haven’t grown old of these things.
I remembered Transformers because of Bumble Bee and because it will be showing right this date and because the name itself is for a bug and it’s about the bug that I wrote this article.
So much for the introduction, this is just about the wicked insect bites that I got on Father’s day night in Sunday. I was sleeping on a room that was just vacated and made sure that it was cleaned before I slept on it. And it’s what I thought.
I suddenly woke up scratching the hell up on my eyes, arms, chest, back and almost 80 percent of my body. I stand up to see in the mirror what happened and to my horror I could not recognize myself in the mirror! It seemed that I’m been stung by swarms of bees on my arms and body and my eyes were swollen and it engulfed half of my cheek like I’ve been into the boxing ring and losing to a world champion!
So to my rage, I tried to find the culprit in the room, and to my amazement, I only found a little black cockroach-like bug. The body is diamond-shaped and I saw it before. I didn’t see it fly but somewhat jumped sometimes.
I knocked out the poor bug into bits and pieces and now I’m trying to check what this bug’s name is. No, not a proper name but its scientific name and check how a small bug can wreck havoc in a human body. I know many insects or organisms can make something worse than this, but for the life of me, I am checking on it for 2 days already.
I went to the hospital that same afternoon to get a checkup and I was checked by an ophthalmologist because no internal medicine doctor was available. Well, it’s nothing worse than little bug bites, it’s just that its venom or toxin was really potent that I initially developed allergy according to the doctor.
This bug actually helped me because it gave the leeway to get the leave that I need in my hellish work. The doctor advised me to get at least a week of leave but I just said that I just needed 2 days for this to subside. And thank God the eye of the boxer was now healed.

[...] Now I know who’s the little guy who knocked me out! It’s the kissing bug! I kept on thinking what’s this bug’s name is. I saw this bug right after I woke up that unfortunate night and I flat it out using my sandal and blood splattered out on the wall. I also wrote an article about this a month before regarding a bug with a killer punch! [...]
