Squeeze Page Basics on Internet Marketing
What is a Squeeze Page?
Most Internet marketers and Search Engine Optimization enthusiasts or SEO enthusiast currently use Squeeze Page today because of its efficiency and low cost of acquiring leads. And by definition of leads, these are the list of people that agree to subscribe and receive information from you in terms of newsletter or feeds. Most of the time visitors will subscribe to you in order to gain a free thing like an eBook or a video or anything that is of great interest to them. These things should be offered at first so that you will get an opt-in. If these subscribers are interested in what you are offering on the squeeze page, chances are, they will retain and look forward on what you will be sending to them the next time you publish your newsletter and creating an outstanding content might lead to conversion into sales and that is good news if you are into affiliate programs. This is where the money follows!
Usually, there is a demand that needs supply or a question that needs answer and that is where you will need to create a squeeze page. We know that tons of information about everything is available in the Internet, but once in a while it happens that you will not be able to see what you are looking for, or you are not satisfied with what you found out. All an Internet marketer should bear in mind is to focus on a particular question people might be looking an answer for, like a product or service that have a big effect on their lives. Something that is also being searched by a number of people, together with a built product or service that you can offer right now.
A powerful squeeze page should always have these things:
- Outstanding Headline
- A sound explanation of what you are offering
- Several testimonials from satisfied customers
- Some bullet points so that it may be easier to the eyes of the readers
- Image of the eBook or product that this squeeze page is promoting about
- And the most important of all is the name and email address field to sign up with
If you already have the content in your mind, you will just need the following requirements to make the squeeze page work:
An Excellent Domain Name
Of course, you can never start off without an awesome domain name. To get one, you need to register it on renowned domain registrars in the web, and one that I highly advised is Namecheap; which I personally used in registering all of my domains.
A reliable Webhosting Service
You should also get yourself a dependable web hosting service and I highly recommend Bluehost; because you can get unlimited storage space, unlimited domain hosting, POP3 and IMAP email support, Subdomains, Parked Domains, Add-on domains and many more. The customer service is world class and all you have to do is to upload the content of your website and you are good to go.
HTML Editor
As for editing your squeeze page, you can use the notepad as the most basic form of editor or use Adobe Dreamweaver for those that needed some extra features. There are also lots of free software across the Internet so you will not be left behind. It would be best if you can edit pictures or photos that you will be using on the squeeze page to give it a livelier look. Who wants to subscribe in a dull squeeze page, right?
You might as well outsource the content and hire a writer if you are not that good in marketing. Just make sure that you convey to your writer what you wanted the reader to feel and what they should know before signing up so that you have a higher chance of registration.
Autoresponder
And last but not the least, a powerful autoresponder that will be your biggest weapon of all to be successful in marketing.AWeber; is one of the most prominent autoresponder in the field today that provides function that is ahead of the rest.
But be sure before proceeding in creating a squeeze page to be careful not to cross the line of being tagged as a spammer because this will be a marketer’s nightmare to have his work just go down the drain. No one wants their lead to unsubscribe one by one by sending them with nonsense information that are full of tasteless advertisements. The interest of the leads should be the primary goal of a marketer to succeed in this type of business. Once you grasp their attention, it will be a piece of cake for you to market anything that is based on that interest. You will definitely earn through squeeze page if done properly.
I wanna know How to be Effectively Indexed by Google
To tell you the truth, I’m a little bit confused right now on to what the Big G is looking for in a website to index its pages. I noticed last week that the post that I made last August was indexed right away, without me even promoting that post that much. And it is really confusing me more about those posts that I tried very hard optimizing…link building, blog commenting, social bookmarking and everything that I know in off-page optimization, but still was not effective enough.
One thing I noticed so far is that the post that i made last August is about my blogging life and what are my objectives and dreams was indexed right away compared to majority of the posts here which mainly tackles everything about making money online. I tried very hard to get fresh ideas regularly and to prevent the writer’s block. But the more I tried composing something, the harder it gets to visualize what I wanted to convey. And boy, indeed it last for not only days, but weeks and months.
I hope internet marketing gurus will notice this post someday and provide some guidelines on to what I am doing wrong and give me some pointers, because I tried hard to write contents that are not copied elsewhere and I make it more informative to be at least helpful to someone like me that is trying my way up in learning online marketing. However, it is so odd that the post that I did not even think about and just think of my personal experience will be the one that will be indexed by Google.
I know that there are tons of internet marketing strategies and criteria that search engines are looking for to index a page and as far as i know, as long as you have fresh content and you do your homework in off-page and on-page optimization, then there is a good chance that the page will be indexed immediately, get a lot of backlinks, visitors and ultimately rank for a given set of keywords.
There are times that I am tempted to get the help of SEO specialists to do Search Engine Optimization work for me. It is really pathetic for a blogger that chose the highly competitive niche of making money online just to seek the assistance of others and pay for it. But I know that nobody could attest that they knew everything outright when they started and almost all of us tried very hard to seek resources and work day and night to see improvements on our own targets.
Getting fresh ideas in making money online is not easy as most people are thinking of. Too many obstacles will come your way. Your own self will be your greatest enemy if you will not learn how to control yourself from the urges of wasting your precious time to nonsense things.
I have learned the hard way and without sacrifice and patience, I would not go this far and not earn what I am earning. But going back to my agenda in writing this post, i do hope that this fresh content for this month, together with the help of my search engine optimization skills, will not only help it be index right away, but more importantly, give the boost that I needed to write relevant content at least more than i usually do.
6 Steps for an Effective Call-To-Action
All successful Internet marketers surely know how to properly implement a strong call-to-action technique. However, so many business owners and marketers still fail in this aspect. It is one of the most important techniques one should learn early to convert potential customers into a sale.
The objective of any website in Internet Marketing is to entice the visitor to stay longer to check what the site offers. If you are selling products or services, you ultimately want your every visitor to look around your site on what they are looking for. Through On-Page Optimization and Off-Page Optimization, together with researching for positive and negative keywords, efficient link building and targeting a specific audience will produce visitors mainly from organic traffic and combining it with a good page layout will effectively make the visitor to stay and read more and be interested to register or buy or whatever goal you set your website should achieve.
A call-to-action or CTA is the next step in retaining the customer. Once your website catches the attention of would-be buyers, your intention is to keep the visitor interested by clicking a button or link which calls a specific page where it should provide additional information or a teaser and then to sign up or purchase. Whereas, the Click-Through-Rate or CTR is a measure on how successful your conversion of visitor to customer through clicking the button or link that represent an advertisement. It is measured by the number of impressions or the times that the webpage displays to a visitor to the number of times a visitor clicks the call-to-action button.
Many webmasters are lured to just putting a link that merely says “Click Here”. This is really not providing enough sense to a customer unless there is supporting information why he or she should click that button. Please do not use the words “Click Here” or any other words that is nonsense to your visitor. First it does not teach the visitor on why they need to click it and what they are expecting after clicking. Instead you can put words that explain their expectation like “Learn More”.
Putting just the words “Buy Now” is a strong call-to-action and should have a phrase or a paragraph that assist it to explain why the visitor should decide immediately unless he or she is extremely convinced. The visitor should be able to at least have the opportunity to check the page for its content that describes the product, get some useful information to see why he or she needs the product and also the price which is very important and why this item is much better than its competitors. Then after providing this, the next call-to-action to the buying process should present itself and it should not be hard for the customer to complete this process. No one wants to be confused with so many things and many required actions. You and I obviously wanted everything to be simple and not think too much when browsing.
The techniques below are proven to effectively retain visitors and have a successful CTR:
1. Have a Sense of Urgency
Active words such as Buy, Register, Sign Up, and Subscribe are ineffective if there is no sense of urgency why they should click that. You can try to add these kinds of phrases with the active words:
• Offer until the end of December
• Limited Offer Only
• Buy now and you will receive a gift
• 20 percent discount when you buy today only
2. Provide some Extras
There are marketing styles where you can give in order to gain. It is not all about getting a sale. You can provide freebies to customers that will buy 2 or more items or if they will register or reserve ahead of time.
3. Position it correctly
As much as proper words are chosen to lure visitor to click, the placement of the link is significant also. Ideally, it should be placed where the customer do not need to scroll down or look for in the webpage. It should place high enough in the fold and at least in the center to draw attention.
4. White Space is Important
Now, you have already a good position for the button or link, the next thing that you should implement is to put it in a place where it seems to float in the page. There should not be any clutter or distracting words near it and at least make it bigger than the normal link or button so that visitor will surely notice it among others.
5. Colors that contrast
Of course you want your website to have a central theme. The colors of the text should blend well with the other categories. But having a contrasting color of your call-to-action button or text is really important to draw the attention. Now, it is position high enough and space is all around it, it would be great that the color is different from the rest so that the visitor will be enticed to click it.
6. Do not make it too confusing
There should not be other words that are created equally in size, color or type of button aside from the call-to-action button. Do not make the visitors click and then go to endless loop into buying. There is too much information that a visitor can handle before getting exhausted. A click or two before going to the exact page where the sale should be made is enough so as to not lose the potential customer. The conversion rate will be high if this is the case.
One last thing, it is also one good practice to get customer information for lead generation. You never know when that customer can generate more potential sales through their own contact and also you can provide updates and new information on new products or services. Providing latest information and promotions through email marketing is a good way of advertising to your existing customer. Click-Through-Rate will be high and your marketing campaign will be successful if you implement these steps. Hopefully the styles above will help in your marketing campaign.
Promise, this will not interest you
I suddenly noticed that it is almost the end of the month for August and I haven’t put any post in my own blog and I am really ashamed because I was able to write something on my other websites and for other people but not on my own baby. Well, I know most of the people I know can relate to this, most especially those who are also into writing. I believe no one can say that boredom does not affect the way one writes or a time didn’t came when ideas are hard to come by like fish in a stormy night in the sea.
Just speaking on experience alone, when I started, I am really eager to write anything under the sun, ideas kept on arising in my mind hour after hour and I couldn’t hold off myself from writing what interests me. You can see for yourself what I am talking about in my archives.
But all of the enthusiasm is starting to wear off. Several factors affect it. Time contributes to more than 80% of lost opportunities. I have a day job that eats up almost all of my time. I said to myself before that I can multitask and balance my office work with my online rackets, but I learned that it is easier said than done.
I don’t intend writing to be my bread and butter, but the promise of earning huge amount of money cannot just be ignored. I’ll admit that I became envious of the stories from my friend, who is earning handsomely online through several Internet Marketing techniques and it pushed me in starting my own online portfolio. I started in planning and developing new websites and blogs and putting quality contents, applying to several affiliate programs that promises earning online to be a breeze. I also utilized what I learned in SEO or Search Engine Optimization, and apply these techniques to market my websites. Because if not for these tactics; I know that my sites will just be some needles in the haystack and visitors will be nil to none.
I admit that the road to success is really hard. Time should be managed and one must be truly determined in following methods and not be afraid in making mistakes because if you will not try anything, then there is no room for you in the online business. Well, this also applies in other aspects in life and not online in making money online. I do hope that ideas will run again like wild horses in my mind to continue flooding my websites with fresh ideas even if it were just merely life experiences…because admit it or not, it is much more great reading something that is real and experienced than something that are merely copied from someone and does not provide any connections in your own life.
